I went a little over board on Easter gifts this year. I feel really bad especially since it's not what Easter is all about. But the boys are really into Star Wars right now so I had to get some basic action figures!

He loves cars. Our neighbor had a car like this in their yard. For days he would stare out the window and cry. So of course he got his own!

He loves to be outside. Even if he is by himself. Can you find him?

He is also obsessed with shoes. Always has to have them on. Doesn't matter which pair. Here he is with them on over his footie pajamas! It's even a fight to take them off when he goes to sleep. Weird.

Tooth Fairy???? No Way!

Wyatt came downstairs one morning holding his tooth. He was sooo excited. Todd was out of town when it happened so we took these pictures for him.

When I told Wyatt about the Tooth Fairy he got really upset. He didn't want to give his tooth to her. He wanted to keep it. Well ends up being he lost it. I kept telling him to not play with it but sometimes you have to learn the hard way. Poor guy.

Wyatt gave his teacher this necklace he made for V-day. We got the shell from the beach and he colored it different shades of blue. I guess that is her favorite color.

Wyatt passed these out to his class.

Wyatt has a crush on his teacher's daughter. He always picks flowers or weeds on his way to school for her. The other day he said he was trying to have a dream about her. Her name is Isabel and apparently she likes him too. I'm in trouble.

A New Me

Kyle got his first haircut on Monday. He did so good! We gave him lots of treats to eat and blew lots of bubbles in order to distract him. I should also mention that he has had tubes put in his ears and seems to be doing well. He is such a big boy now!

When Wyatt saw Kyle with his new haircut he asked, "Mommy why did you make him look like Baby Ty?" lol I am sad to say that this morning Ty asked us to please not call him Beefy Chunks anymore. His name is "Baby Ty."

This is a new nickname my mom gave Kyle. He is so little and always sick. I left church early yesterday to take him to the doctor. She sent us to the ER because he had a double ear infection (this is the sixth one he's had and he just turned one) and a temp of 104.5! All his tests are coming back OK. However, they need to do more testing. I think tubes in his ears are coming very soon!

Well this boat is almost as old as me but we sure are excited!

Todd has been wanting to get one for quite some time now. This is the same kind of boat he learned to ski on when he was younger.

The boys can't wait to get behind it and tube. We're hoping to get out at least once this year before it gets too cold.

We did a frog theme this year just because it was easy and cute.

Everyone came with gifts that matched the colors and theme without even knowing beforehand. It was meant to be! lol

We can't believe our little "buggie" turned one year old!

He was pretty tired but I loved watching him make a mess of himself. None of my other boys ever did. They would only dip a finger in it or throw it on the ground. Party poopers. ;)

Neverland

Okay so I got some pictures of Ty's birthday party. It's hard to throw a party and take pictures of it especially when everyone is 5 and under. So if you wanna see the cutest pictures ever, visit my dad's blog (once again). I have to throw what I have up here because I do plan on having this blog printed out as a journal at the end of the year.

The party favors were "pixie sticks" and a wand of bubbles that had Tinkerbell on it. I swear these parties are more for the parents than the kids! lol I had a great time putting it together.

The kids showed up in their pajamas (like Wendy, Peter and Michael). BUT of course Ty was Peter Pan. A cardboard standup of Tinkerbell greeted them and we sprinkled fairy dust on them so they could "fly." We had an Indian station where they made feather headbands, face painting and a game. While going around the fake fire pit we played songs from the movie and when it stopped they had to sit like an Indian. We also played "Follow the Leader" from the movie as well.

The Pirate section was not so detailed. You sat in this chair, got to wear a necklace and get a pirate or Tinkerbell tattoo.

This was the Lost Boys Hideout. They colored pictures of Peter Pan, swam in Nonnie and Poppie's pool and had a great time! We had to cut the party short because Kyle had to go to the ER. He is notorious for getting ear infections! Poor baby. So the only thing we didn't get to do was chase our shadows using a floodlight and a blank wall. Happy 3rd Birthday Ty!

Kindergarten

Wyatt has been so excited for school to start! We welcomed him to the next 18 years of his life being spent in a classroom and gently reminded him that even Daddy (as old as he is) is STILL in school. lol

They made a school bus out of yellow frosting, graham crackers, oreos and chex cereal. Speaking of school bus they lost him on the first day of school. We couldn't find him for an 1 1/2! Todd called the police department, I pulled the principal and we had family and friends helping us drive around the neighborhood to try to find him! It was very upsetting to say the least. Uncle Erik left on his mission. The night before we hung out and had a "sleepover" with all our cousins.

Flaming Gorge

Flaming Gorge was a blast. I hate that I didn't get any pictures of Todd behind the boat. I usually had Kyle in my hands, or a tube was in the way or something.

Alley is always the flag girl. What is it that makes boats so relaxing and easy to fall asleep?

This is Kyle's first jet ski ride. He LOVED it. I remember when Wyatt or Ty would go out at this age they would always come back asleep.

Poor Kyle had to wear this stupid life jacket. He didn't mind wearing it as long as the boat was moving. This is Grandma Claire trying to keep him cool with a wet rag.

Wake boarding was fun. I can never stay up too long though. Practice, Practice, Practice.

I know I haven't traveled much but Sedona, Arizona is one of the prettiest places I have ever been. We were there for Alex's wedding. Here is Todd with his brother's Alex and Andrew.

This place is called Slide Rock. See where the big group of people are gathered? That is where you start to slide down....

Wyatt did it only once with Todd because the water was pretty cold. It was sooo fun though!

It was scorching hot outside! Hence the fans and umbrellas.

We all had a blast dancing. My arm was sore the next day from holding Kyle the whole time I was dancing. Ugh.

I've never been here before so this was really exciting for me.

However, this is not a kid friendly trip. Wyatt was scared to death. I'm sure my freaking out didn't help much.

We went with Todd's brother Craig and his family.

We were there for about a day and a half. We did hiking, the Imax Theater and just had a really good time. We'd like to go back when the boys are much older and do some rafting or something a little more adventurous.

The kids put a talent show on. They actually did it a couple times with the same dances and songs. We loved it every time though! Wyatt sang the Iron Man theme song.

This was the "auditorium" they set up. They had tickets and reserved seating for each person. We were also reminded before the show began to, "Please turn off all cell phones and electronic devices." My nieces are the best!

Ty was not a big fan of the ocean water. This was where he spent most of his time.

Kyle had a double ear infection on this trip. He was a good sport and still had a good time. Ty ended up with an ear infection as well. My poor babies.

Every night Nonnie would read a bedtime story. Ty would usually fall asleep during this time. Thanks Nonnie!

Wyatt and his cousin Carly graduated preschool last Wednesday. Here they are with their teacher "Miss Connie."

Their hats were so cute. It was a paper bowl turned upside down.

The program included nine songs that included some serious moves!

Wyatt's soccer team was called the Raptors. He had a blast and especially loved Daddy being the coach.

Soccer ended and T-ball began! He's never played before and says he needs a lot of practice!

Here is Ty painting our Easter eggs. We love this little contraption I got at Walmart. It spins the eggs around so their is no mess! We've used it for a couple years now and it is great for kids and MOM!!!!

The Easter Bunny was very generous this year and got the boys a Wii. Can you see the beads of sweat on his face?! He is boxing, having fun and getting a work out! I'm afraid this may be Wyatt's last year when it comes to believing in the Easter Bunny. He's starting to ask a lot of questions such as, "Is that a costume?"

Wyatt Update

His class went on a field trip to a local dentist. He checked my teeth when he came home and said they looked pretty good. :)

Nonnie came for a visit and took the boys and their cousins to a museum. They had so much fun! Ty had a blast dressing up as a fireman.
He still manages to sleep in the strangest positions....
What a wierd-o.
He is also in the beginning stages of potty training. Okay so I know he looks like a grown man sitting on the toilet but he is only 2 1/2 years old so back off! :) He's just big for his age. He is doing so well and I can' t wait to not have two in diapers! Ugh. Go Ty!

We are practicing sitting up now. He still hates baby food (though we practice every day) and no one can make him laugh as hard as Wyatt can.

Kyle is known for his loud happy screams. We always have to leave the room at our church meetings--not because he is crying but because he is so screamin' happy!

Portugal

So, I was able to go to Portugal for about 5 days with 2 friends of mine. I was gone for a total of 7 days (poor Lisa). We had a great time visiting lots of friends, families, and old mission areas.

I Love this country!

Thad Taylor, Mike Muir, both were my companions on the mission. (They were companions as well.)

Wyatt turned 5 this year! We had a family party. He was a little upset about having no friends over but ended up saying it was the best birthday party he ever had. A big thank you to everyone who remembered, sent a gift or came to his party!

Christmas Day

This year we did a board game theme. The pirate ship and tent were a bigger hit though.
This was the first time my parents were away from home for Christmas. It was so much fun having them here.

We loved watching the boys open gifts on their own. Definitely a memorable Christmas. We went and saw Bedtime Stories with Adam Sandler Christmas night. My Dad fell asleep and Wyatt wanted to go home. Goes to show how good the movie was.

Here are the boys making cookies to leave out for Santa. My boys would rather eat the dough than the actual cookie.

Decorating the tree was interesting. Ty kept throwing the ornaments into the tree (along with a soccer ball that got stuck in the middle of the tree). When we ran out of ornaments, Wyatt was upset and kept hanging everything (including garbage) onto the tree. When all said and done we could only decorate the top half of the tree because the ornaments were just too tempting.
